VFX Executive Producer

LOCATION: Part Lower Ground Floor, Vintry Building, Wine Street, Bristol, BS1 2BD

THE ROLE: We are looking for an Executive Producer to take charge of the management of a range of areas within our busy VFX studio including traditional VFX, design, agency, visitor attraction and immersive projects. This position is offered on a temporary to permanent basis with an initial term of 6 months to start as soon as possible.

You will work alongside the Head of Production and production team, in close conjunction with the Operations and Finance teams. We are looking for an experienced VFX producer who will be responsible for clear communication between the client and the production team, and ensuring the production delivers on time and within budget. You are highly organised, motivated, able to take initiative and understand what it means to work well in a team environment.

You will work closely with the Creative and Technical Directors to develop the approach for creating the effects work and provide clients with realistic estimates of budget & schedule requirements needed to complete the work.

You will have a great understanding of client relationships and be responsible for nurturing and corresponding closely with clients on bids, scheduling, resourcing, and budgets, anticipating opportunities and pressure points and thinking strategically about how to address them.

You will excel at working as part of a dedicated team of creatives and production professionals. You will manage project milestones, and daily tasks and deliveries in line with the approved schedule using Shotgrid, ensuring the project does not go over budget, taking corrective action early on to prevent this happening.

Where relevant you will be involved in the tendering and bidding for new business and forge relationships with existing clients to encourage repeat business. This will include developing and identifying global new business within the various sectors we specialise in.

You will familiarise yourself and keep up to date with the membership organisations Moonraker is involved with.

The role may also require travel for client meetings or industry events.

YOUR EXPERIENCE: The candidate will ideally have worked for a minimum of ten years in a Senior Production role including organising live action filming. You will have significant experience working and liaising with clients with the ability to quickly build up rapport and strong relationships. You will have managed multi-disciplined teams. You will have experience in working to deadlines on multiple projects. You have a meticulous attention to detail and are constantly looking for ways to improve operational efficiencies. A positive attitude and ability to problem solve is key, identifying possible problems and offering up solutions. You are highly organised, detail oriented, proactive and have a strong desire to create work of the highest quality.

CONTRACT: This is a temporary to permanent role with an initial term of 6 months and remuneration will be dependent on experience.

APPLICATION: Please send an up to date CV and cover letter to jobs@moonrakervfx.com with ‘VFX Executive Producer’ in the subject line
